This is just a quick post, I'm tired and I shall go to sleep cos tomorrow I wake up at 6 am. This was made by Kei aka Dahlia from Neko Otaku Club, she has it up on devianart, but I took it to my desktop, so I can use it to promote.
We've rearranging HanaDan Shojo's program to make it as perfect for the building as it could be. Anyway, it'll be hard to have it all right, but we're going to work it out. My last combinations have gone to the idea of putting two different rooms (rooms aren't too wide and big) for conferences, because we can place two of the conferences in the room of projections, with the doramas (all episodes #01) and animes (just a couple or three). Those would be the doramas conference and the anime vs manga one. Then leave the other conferences in the Main room. And let the outside be the space with the stage (little stage plus dance floor stage), and the few activities. The stands will be placed at the archways, and if we can finally know who's gonna run the bar, we will place there the Host Club (like Ouran's) and maybe the food stand (Bimbo Makino's).
Tomorrow maybe I'll write about the contests, cosplays and others...

Hey! I'm at my summer town, I've been working as a waitress again, still broke tho :( and I've been doing some preparation works for upcoming events... I'm still half discussing some of the dates, the boss seems to forget everything I tell him about dates, events and workshops... anyway, it's gonna be easier than the lessons we'll be doing about Japan and its history...
FACT # 1
Hanadan Shojo is the new name I gave to Hana Yori Dango Day aka Hanadan Day because the original idea of this event has been changing a lot since I first created it. I won't get tired of saying is not another NANA DAY:
A. No one has proposed to celebrate a day dedicated to a manga Internationaly.
B. The original idea was a marathon watching the first season of the Live Action, so it was "Days" instead of "Day", we made the "s" fall because when we took the idea back we only had a day to make it.
C. We never intended to make our "NANA" event such a big deal, but since someone proposed it to make it on 07/07/07 we switched dates, cancelled a couple of events dedicated to two manga/anime/live action and worked a little more into that idea to match the International celebration. The way we worked back into Hanadan Shojo has been different since what we wanted is to use this manga to show how shojo has been through the last two decades and how some works had been adaptated into anime and into tv drama series, plus having an excuse to celebrate some of us are arashian. XD
FACT # 2
We didn't chose the date exactly, we said it had to be in the end of November, because at the beginning there's a Manga Feir and before is impossible to get ready such an event, because there are other things to get ready, and later we have another event this year... so we said 17th or 24th November and the center we're doing this event gave us the 17th. Is not a date with a hidden meaning or something.
FACT # 3
Hanadan Shojo stands for an event that will be about shojo manga, doramas, Taiwanese and Korean dramas based in shoujo manga, and the idols from the JE plus JVKV (the original Taiwanese F4). The principal subject of this event are the conferences, talks and episodes from some anime series and dramas (TW, K, and of course JPN) that are linked into the shoujo works we picked up appart of Hanadan, which is the main series we picked up because of the importancy of the manga and both the Taiwanese and the Japanese drama. Arashi and the JE come because of Hanadan and because some of the JE idols and the JVKV members have started in roles in those drama series we've talked about.
FACT # 4
This won't be an event that will be celebrated in different cities, areas, locations, whatever. It will have only a location, at least this year, and depending on its acceptation we could repeat it again, next year (maybe) in another city, maybe changing the name or adding new shojos...
FACT # 5
We will have some activities, games and little workshops, but all of them will be related to shojo manga, and girlie stuff, except for the videogames which will be some oldies, such as Tetris, Return to Aracade or Puyo Pop, because we know some males will come too. But this event is to learn a little bit more about the subjects we already discussed above.
FACT # 6
Different people will be involved in Hanadan Shojo: There's a blog dedicated to everything about shojo news (Los Shojos de Deirdre), the best Spanish site about Hanadan (www.hyd-es.com) , different associations and clubs, even some forums such as Arashi Rabu Rabu where we've been requesting some material or fansubs such as Dorama no Fansub (they made the subs for HYD and HYD 2), we even requested to F4-Pawa and still we've got more people to ask for help or if they want to join us with something... There's plenty of things you can do, even from the distance, like sharing videos, series, or ideas. There's an online competition: Best Hanadan Fanfic, and a Cosplay Competition by pictures... and we decided to do that because some people have already complained about the fact this event will be too far from their locations.
FACT # 7
After this event, we still have work to do, events to go and work as volunteers, and events that will be like this but dedicated to other themes and subjects, and it'll be plenty of time to make events like people are used to go, with the same activities and workshops and competitions as always, that's why we're not worried about not having stuff people is used to, we're also trying to get these events to a new client target, people that can read manga, but maybe won't go to the typical events. We already had some of them at NANA DAY, and they told us they liked the familiar atmosphere and that they didn't felt that out-of-place.
FACT # 8
Is true that I've already suggested to the ones that felt decieved with NANA DAY and have been harsh with us not to come. I'm sorry, but people who only think we shoul make perfect events like we were a company or something, are not welcome into our events. They only come to criticize and they're negative. Some have already doubted about Hanadan Shojo, and still they say they'll probably come. There's no need to.
FACT # 9
We'll keep doing events despite of the haters because we love them, but get sure I won't waste the same amount of money as I did in NANA DAY, because those haters have shown me there's no worth in doing it. It's better keeping it poor, than wasting money in material that won't be apreciate. Same goes for the prizes, we'll be giving little prizes, and we'll be having just a few competitions. However we'll be talking about Hanadan Shojo to the publishers that publish shojo in Spain, because we think they must know about this, and because maybe some of them want to join us in our conferences and talks.
FACT # 10
YES it's true this event has changed from its original idea, but still it was previous to NANA DAY, same as it is the one we'll be doing next summer. We've got plenty of previous ideas, but anyway, people still will compare them to NANA DAY... let me just tell you that if ever someone requests to celebrate something internationally, I'll only join if I have something in mind, like I did with NANA DAY ;D
Yesterday I finally went to watch 'Letters from Iwo Jima'. I wasn't expecting that much from Nino, I mean, I though he would just have a few scenes, or that his parts would be equal to the rest of the cast. Still Ken Watanabe is a master of performance, he's really one of the best Japanese actors, someone Nino can look up to; but the fact is that Nino really grows strong in this movie. You think you're gonna see the same Ninomiyah from past dramas, but he's not, he just fools the audience by impersonating that poor baker that has been dragged into this war, desperate, situation, but as the movie goes, you get to see how much is he suffering despite of his cheerful way to speak to the others. Nino's not growing far from the rest of his Arashi mates tho, they all growing together, and that's really hard to find in a boyband. I guess that despite we all think that Johnny Kitagawa is a perv or someone really annoying, he does know what he does when he takes juniors into his company and teaches them the performance arts.
About the movie, is something we should all watch. I trully recommend it. There are loads of films about the 2nd World War, the European battle field, the Americans deciding whether to go or not to that European War... whatever, but there are just a few telling us about what happened in the Pacific battle field, and less telling us how the Japanese were feeling about it. We always get to see the Japanese as the demons of the East, but we don't know anything about the causes of their part of the war, and how the civils were feeling about it. I found it a very reflexive movie, and Clint Eastwood did know how to show us that.
It's just a shame he couldn't accept any foreign awards candidatures, but well, Nino's fans and anyone who watches this movie will apreciate for sure his work. I hope he gets a new movie rol soon, his career could take an interesting turn from this point. Also, MatsuJun, I'm really awaiting for his new drama 'Bambino', because his acting in Hana Yori Dango was really great, he really portrays that Domyouji's rude attitude.
Well, it's not that I don't care about Sho-chan, Ohno-san and Aiba-chan, but they will have their time too. ;P
I got a nice surprise while opening the Culture section of my newspaper and seeing Nino standing there with Clint Eastwood and Ken Watanabe. I'm gonna keep that paper! LOL!
The girl from Arashi's vox has a longer blog post with Nino's pictures at the Berlinae. I can't wait to watch this movie!
